I can help you sort through these sexuality and relationship issues. While I welcome work with lesbian, gay, heterosexual and poly folks, I specialize in helping Bisexuals or Queer-Identified People with dating and having happy relationships.
Starting or ending a relationship can be the perfect time to talk with a therapist about your repetitive relationship patterns. One woman came to therapy feeling happy in her 3 month old relationship but had moments where she felt intense anxiety each night. After some exploration, we figured out what could be going on. She had stopped doing things for herself, such as her morning runs and getting together with her best friend on their usual Thursday night out. She realized she feared her partner would see taking space apart as a rejection. However, she needed that space to feel more grounded and relaxed day to day.
We talked about how she could find more balance between the relationship and her own needs. It can be difficult to say what you need while simultaneously honoring your partner's feelings.
